About ITB Therapy

With ITB Therapy using a Medtronic implantable pump system, anti-spastic medication is delivered directly to your spinal cord fluid. The results may be improved walking, increased range of motion and fewer spasms, all of which may help you live more independently.^1,2

What Is It?

ITB Therapy^SM is a precise, targeted treatment proven to reduce severe spasticity caused by stroke. It uses an implanted drug pump that delivers your anti-spastic medication directly to where it is needed inside the spinal cord.

ITB Therapy is recommended to manage and control severe generalized spasticity that is poorly controlled by oral medications or limited because of unwanted side-effects and where other therapies have proven ineffective.
