The CareLink Monitor
The CareLink Monitor allows you to send data from your implanted heart device over a standard phone line for your doctor or clinic to review. The unit is small, portable, and very easy to use.
If you have a monitor with a Conexus symbol in the upper right corner
, you have an implanted heart device and monitor that will communicate automatically. This monitor is designed to send data from your heart device to the clinic without assistance from you, usually while you sleep.
You should receive your monitor a few weeks after the clinic orders it for you. The monitor will be delivered in a plain brown box for your privacy. You may need to sign for it when it arrives. If you have not received your monitor 30 days after it was ordered, please contact your clinic.
The monitor is very easy to set up and use. You will find instructions in the box. Please review these instructions before using your monitor.
For questions, please contact your clinic who ordered the monitor for you.
Yes, although you can only travel within your own country and still maintain contact with your clinic. The monitor weighs about 500 grams (about one pound), fits in a suitcase, and should easily pass through airport security. Make sure to bring your Device Identification Card in case you are questioned by airport security. The monitor works with a standard analogue phone line.
