Product Marketing Manager, CardioVascular
Medtronic was my first job, right after graduating. I had former college mates already working there, and was attracted by the company's good reputation. I was a Coronary Product Specialist before being promoted. I enjoy working with high-level devices and therapies. We are continually working on making our technologies less invasive, so it's exciting and changes day to day.
Right now, I'm working on an endovascular graft for abdominal aortic aneurysms. The implant procedure is minimally invasive, which means it can be implanted in less time and with a much smaller incision than the alternative surgery, so patients can go home earlier.
I've seen Medtronic devices contribute to successful outcomes outside the workplace, too. My girlfriend's grandmother has a Medtronic coronary stent and a pacemaker, and they help her lead a more normal, active life. For me, this shows a real connection between our employees and all the people that benefit from our therapies and devices. It's our Mission personified.

What I do for fun:
I like outdoor sports – running, trekking, mountain biking, skiing, basketball. I'm also very interested in literature and playing guitar.
The Master and Marguerite. Mikhail Bulgakov wrote it as satirical fantasy to avoid censorship from Stalin's minions. The result is a unique blend of humour and deep insights into human nature.
